Holchin Homestead Late Spring Planting
We skipped the early season, but planted for summer crops. This year is a big expansion, 500% more acreage (0.00055 acres or 24 square feet) and 100% growth in staff (Mitzi and Clark). We have a variety of tomatoes to eat and try canning, bell peppers and cucumbers to try pickling. Last fall’s late compost additions didn’t get hot enough, so we have some squash “volunteers” popping up. We are keeping some to see exactly what they are.
The raspberry plants are all growing and we should have a few blackberries soon.
